Marma

Indigenous Tools for Modern Wellness

live preview

user: marma

Marma is a creative ecommerce spec for a handheld acupressure tool inspired by Indian Marma pressure-point traditions. The business idea is to test the product seriously before scaling it: validate supplier quality, landed cost, import risk, brand/IP concerns, and demand through a small, low-risk pilot.

Creative Strategy
The creative strategy was to take an obscure self-care object and repackage it as something colorful, collectible, and easy to understand at first glance. Instead of treating the product like a niche wellness tool that needs heavy explanation, the page gives it the energy of an object people want to choose, own, and collect.

The landing page is built for an ad-click moment: arrive cold, understand the object quickly, pick a version, and buy without getting buried in wellness education. The deeper story sits behind the product experience as an invitation into a broader Marma ecosystem.

Web Prototype
The prototype is a static one-page ecommerce experience built around the core buying flow: product imagery, variant selection, quantity controls, add-to-cart behavior, usage context, safety copy, and story. It is polished enough to communicate the concept, but lightweight enough to keep changing as sourcing and positioning get clearer.

GSD Learning
The bigger learning layer is GSD: “Get Shit Done.” In practice, that means moving fast without becoming sloppy: map what exists, pick the next concrete milestone, make reversible changes, verify the important parts, and avoid using a heavy process for a small creative tweak. This project is becoming a way to learn that balance: creative speed where it helps, structure where it protects the work.

Ty Rex Studio: Living Archive Portfolio, Community & eCommerce

Ty Rex Studio

A Living Archive

Built With:

Claude Code + Codex
Self-Owned Legacy Portfolio,

live preview

The Living Archive is a creative archive system for the life, work, and evolving practice of Ty Rex, a multidisciplinary artist, thinker, and practitioner. The project thinks of a greater legacy: how can a body of work stay whole, visible, and self-owned across a lifetime?

Creative Strategy: Nonduality in Design
The creative strategy brings many parts of a life into one living system instead of treating them as separate categories. Writing, music, visual art, teaching, research, philosophy, objects, and process all become part of the same field.

For Ty Rex, this is also a memory tool. As someone with ADHD, being able to see their work gathered in one place is part of how the work becomes real, remembered, and re-entered. The archive is designed less like a static portfolio and more like a visual map of a scattered but deeply connected creative life.

Built to Change
The larger goal is a self-owned platform that can grow with Ty Rex instead of relying on rented platforms like Patreon, Substack, or marketplace storefronts. Over time, it can support paid subscriptions, self-hosted community, private teaching materials, member publishing, and direct sales of artwork, editions, writings, music, objects, and future offerings.

Web Prototype
The prototype uses generated archive entries, browse modes, filters, visual clusters, and detail panels to explore how Ty Rex’s work can be seen, searched, connected, and remembered. Behind it is a larger CMS schema in progress for artworks, writings, music, video, teachings, objects, collections, tags, timelines, access levels, purchase links, and community materials. The backend is not deployed yet; the prototype tests the archive’s structure and feeling before the deeper system is built.

The Oracle

An I Ching Story Prototype

live preview

The Oracle began as a proof prompt: a playful, story-based way to interact with the I Ching. Visitors enter a dark ink landscape, ask a question, cast coins, and receive a hexagram reading from a dry, teasing mountaintop sage. The piece explores what happens when one of humanity’s oldest binary divination systems is reimagined through contemporary AI-assisted making.

The project treats the I Ching as both subject and structure. Its broken and unbroken lines form an ancient symbolic code, a kind of premodern computational intelligence that long predates modern computers. The result is an atmospheric browser experience that sits somewhere between oracle, storybook, and reflection tool.

Long-Term Buildout
The original roadmap imagined something larger than a single oracle page: a browser-based creative prototyping platform for building interactive visual experiences without needing a full game engine. The Oracle serves as the first vertical slice of that idea, proving the core pattern through one scene, one character, one dialogue flow, one symbolic engine, and one complete interaction loop. Over time, the system could evolve into a modular TypeScript application with a dedicated rendering layer, richer animation tools, ambient audio, persistent scene state, saved readings, and creator-authored prototypes.

MidJourney shaped the visual research and art direction, helping explore ink landscapes, dark mountain environments, sage silhouettes, fog, clouds, and storybook atmosphere. In a more developed pipeline, that process could move from AI-assisted concepting into approved sprites, backgrounds, animation states, optimization, testing, and deployment. For The Oracle, that could mean richer readings, saved questions, animated fog and water, sound design, generated hexagram artwork, branching sage dialogue, and alternate ritual modes. At platform scale, the same foundation could support symbolic tools, animated poems, interactive story scenes, ASCII experiments, prototype games, and other AI-assisted worlds.

The Ether

A Ceremonial Concert Series

live preview

The Ether is an event curated by Open House, a collective building intimate listening experiences around music, ritual, and gathering. Prototyped in roughly an hour, this digital concept explores how a simple event touchpoint can feel more like an invitation, archive, and atmospheric preview than a standard promo page.

The interface uses a circular edition wheel to connect The Ether with Open House’s broader history of gatherings, letting visitors move through dates, locations, artists, and imagery from one focused composition. Restrained typography, dark negative space, antique gold accents, and real event photography give the prototype a ceremonial feel while keeping the system lightweight and fast-moving.

Astrology

Astrology UX Protoype

This is an interactive astrology-oracle prototype built as a browser-native visual instrument. It combines an animated HSL sphere, fine-line orbital geometry, date-based transit markers, and a rotary time wheel into a compact daily reading interface.

The project was built with React and Vite, with the main experience implemented in src/main.jsx. React manages the selected date, ascendant sign, transit positions, visual mode, and panel state, while SVG geometry and pointer interactions drive the chart surface.

The design spec favors a soft atmospheric field, precise white/ink linework, mono utility labels, responsive circular composition, visible focus states, and 44px tap targets. The interface includes orb and solar viewing modes, sign search, date controls, orbit guide toggles, signal and linework sliders, and a tabbed inspector panel.

Core tools include Motion for animated transitions, Radix UI for popovers, tabs, sliders, and tooltips, and lucide-react for UI icons. The animated sphere is rendered with a custom WebGL canvas shader, while the rotary wheel uses native pointer events, pointer capture, keyboard controls, and SVG text paths.

Transit positions are intentionally lightweight and approximate, designed for visual interaction rather than ephemeris-grade astrology. The result is a polished interaction study for an astrology-inspired oracle interface: part generative visual system, part gesture prototype, and part daily reading tool.
